Apple’s carrier partners all over the world have apparently been seeded a near final version ofiOS 5 for testing purposes reports 9 to 5 Mac. The build is newer than the latest iOS 5 beta available to registered developers released just over a week ago.
In addition to incorporating standard improvements like bug-fixes and addressing stability issues, the build includes two key features - FaceTime over 3G and asystem wide speech-to-text engine powered by Nuance’s technology. According to Japanese siteMacotakara, production of iPhone 5has already kicked off at Apple’s manufacturing partners’ plants.
The report further claims that these devices aren’t being packaged yet, since iOS 5 is still in beta and not ready to ship.
Foxconn will reportedly produce 85 percent of the iPhone 5 production, while Taiwanese manufacturer Pegatron has grabbed the contract for the remaining 15 percent. The report, however, doesn’t mention anything about the much rumored low-cost iPhone 4S nor does it reveal any sort of information on the specs of the eagerly awaited fifth generation iPhone. Yesterday, a report claimed that Apple will be releasing iOS 5 to their iPhone manufacturing partners during the timeframe of September 23rd through 30th.
BGR now reports that they’ve received information from a trusted source about the specific time frame for iPhone 5 launch.
According to BGR’s source, Apple will seed iOS 5 beta 8 to developers this Friday, September 16th and will release iOS 5 golden master version on or around September 23rd.
After beta 8, Apple will introduce a Gold Master build on or around September 23rd as has been rumored. We believe that build is what will be loaded onto the already-assembled iPhone 5 hardware currently waiting for final software in China.
According to BGR, Apple’s iPhone carrier partners are expected to give approval for iOS 5 by October 5th, which means that Apple is likely to launch iPhone 5 in the first-half of October as has been rumored.

9 to 5 Mac reports that Apple has started training its Retail Store employees on the features of soon-to-be-released iOS 5 – Apple’s next generation mobile operating system and iCloud – Apple’s new cloud-based service.
9 to 5 Mac reports that Apple is providing employees information about the upcoming products via a new section in The Daily Download app, which is an internal application.

As Apple’s yet-to-be-made-official fall festivities approach, we’ve heard that Apple has begun iOS 5 and iCloud training with retail store employees. According to these sources, training is done through a new section inside of the company’s recently released internal RetailMe application..[]
[]..In addition to iOS 5, Apple Store employees have also begun receiving detailed information on Apple’s upcoming iCloud service. Apple originally said iCloud would be launching alongside iOS 5, which is necessary because of iCloud’s full integration into the next-generation iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV operating system.
Apple typically starts training its retail store staff around two weeks ahead of the launch, and since iOS 5 and iCloud are expected to be released couple of days before the iPhone 5 launch, it is possible that Apple will unveil its next generation iPhone towards the second half of September, with the possible launch in early October.
The ‘N94′ iPhone prototype, whose references were first found in iOS 4.3SDK, has been assigned an FCC ID of BCG-E2430A. This piece of information comes from an image named “RegulatoryInfo-N94AP@2x~iphone.png” found in the newly released iOS 5 beta 7.
The image, embedded below, is included in every iOS device, albeit with different identifiers, and can be found in About -> Regulatory. The GSMiPhone 4 has an FCC ID of BCG-E2380A, its CDMA variant has an FCC ID of BCG-E2422A, as compared to BCG-E2430A, the identifier assigned to the N94 prototype. Apple has just released iTunes Match beta to developers in the U.S. It allows users to store their entire music collection (up to 25,000 songs), including songs that they’ve ripped from CDs or purchased from anywhere else in iCloud.
