iMessage And AirPlay Mirroring Coming To Macs?

Apple is widely speculated to launch iPad 3 with Retina display like iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S next year.

Taiwanese Publication - DigiTimes reports that Apple is also planning to change the backlight design for the next generation iPad with Retina display.

With the next-generation iPads expected to adopt LCD panels with resolutions higher than 2048 by 1536, the current single LED light bar designed for the iPad 2 has to be modify in order to maintain or strengthen the brightness of the panels, the sources explained. Taiwanese Economic News reports that Apple has placed an order with Simplo Technology Co. and Dynapack International Technology Corp. for a thinner and lighter battery for the iPad 3.

We had earlier heard rumors aboutAmazon entering the tablet market, and now TechCrunch’sMG Siegler says that the device is indeed real and is being tested at Amazon’s Seattle HQ. In fact, Seigler even got a hands on with the tablet, unfortunately he wasn’t permitted to click pictures. The device is simply called the ‘Amazon Kindle’, and features a 7-inch capacitive screen. Apple has released a new iPad 2 commercial on its website and YouTube channel.

According to an analyst at The Linley Group, a chip consultancy firm, Apple’s A6 system-on-chip won’t make it to the iPad 3 until July 2012. The A6 processor, successor to the 1 GHz dual-core A5 chip presently powers iPad 2, is expected to power future version of the iPad and iPhone.

We had earlier heard reports of the A6 chips being produced on a trial basis by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).

Apple has just released iTunes Match beta to developers in the U.S. It allows users to store their entire music collection (up to 25,000 songs), including songs that they’ve ripped from CDs or purchased from anywhere else in iCloud.

Folks at InsanelyMac have created a video walkthrough of Apple’s new iTunes Match service, which reveals that you will not only be able to download but you can also stream music from your iTunes music library in iCloud on youriPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and PC. Until now, iTunes in iCloud was perceived as a download only service. As you may already know, Apple and Samsung are at each other’s throats lately.

Apple first sued Samsung for blatantly copying iPad, Samsung countered sued Apple and ordered Apple to show its next generation iPhone and iPad, which prompted Apple to amend its complaint against Samsung to include more Samsung models and Apple again accused Samsung of slavishly copying Apple’s product.
